CIVIL DIVISION TO IMPLEMENT MANDATORY ELECTRONIC FILING OF COMPLEX CASES

Virtual information meetings for attorneys, legal professionals, and Electronic Filing Service Providers to be offered next month. 

The Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles transitioned to mandatory electronic filing (efiling) for Limited and Unlimited jurisdiction Civil cases beginning in November 2018. Efiling provides efficiencies and enhances the Court’s ability to maintain complete and easily accessible records. 

The Court will soon implement efiling of all documents filed in the Civil Complex Division. Efiling will be mandatory for attorneys upon implementation. 

Virtual Informational Meeting for Attorneys: 

A virtual meeting for attorneys is scheduled for Monday, September 13, 2021, from 4 to 5 p.m. Detailed information regarding the implementation of Complex efiling, including new requirements specific to Complex documents, will be provided.
